A late 18th century silver mounted and enamel cut glass scent bottleof oblong form with canted corners, inset with a white enamel plaque, possibly Battersea, decorated with a central oval reserve painted with winged putto against a field of cornflowers, within a bright cut silver border, screw fitting faceted top, bright cut engraved with swags and bearing initial, fitted with internal stopperlength 11.3 cm., width 3.7 cm. Condition: Some minor scratches and small hairlines to enamel and some rubbing to painted decoration. Silver top with split so lifts off rather than screws firmly, a few very minor flea bite chips to glass
