Three handled 'tyg' style jug, inspired by the late 19th century neoclassical and Greek art revivals. Barlow's signature is deeply and roundly inscribed in her earlier style; several small decorator marks are also present- likely for their work on the relieved, glazed geometric handles and patterned, impressed scroll borders. Dated 1880 and impressed with the early Doulton Lambeth circle logo. Silvery rim has no hallmarks and is likely German nickel silver. Extensive staple-brad repair work to the handles, indicating an early 20th century repair.
