They became official Jewellers to the Imperial Court in Russia in 1839 and created many of the parures worn by the Empresses and Grand Duchesses. Most famously, Bolin created the Vladimir Tiara for Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna for her wedding to Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich of Russia in 1874, which now belongs to Queen Elizabeth II.
