赏析：此砚以绿端石为材，方形，小巧。砚面满工精雕蓬莱仙阁图。周边波浪翻滚，云气缭绕，浅浮雕楼阁山海图，形态逼真，生动写实，亭榭山石，如梦如幻，气息浑厚古雅。砚池为方形，居于亭榭门中，四周海波纹围绕，上方为一嵯峨楼阁，楼阁远处高山连绵。砚背则于波涛之中雕有赑屃遨游海中，更显仙境。此砚用料考究，纹饰精美，为同期题材砚作之精品。蓬莱砚与兰亭砚、太史砚等一样，俱为中国历代传统的经典砚式，此砚包浆醇厚，气息古朴自然，弥足珍贵。配红木天地盖。
