A set of four George III Irish silver candlesticksBy Charles Townsend, Dublin circa 1765 Each on shaped and moulded square base, cast with masks of Orientals at the corners and flat-chased with scrolls and shells, the knopped columns cast with further marks and shells below spool-shaped sockets, the detachable drip pans cast with rococo scrolls and flowers, both the candlesticks and drip pans engraved with the coronet and crest of O'Neill of Shanes Castle, County Antrim., height 25.5cm, weight 109.4oz.注脚These candlestick were made for the O'Neills of Shanes Castle, Co.
