A LONGQUAN DRAGON JAR WITH TWO SMALL HANDLES, China, Yuan dynasty - Property from a Rhineland private collection, bought 7.6.1996 Lot 160 from Lempertz Cologne - The name Longquan applied to celadons does not come from a specific kiln site, but rather from the name of the market town in southern Zhejiang province to which these celadon-glazed ceramics were brought for sale and distribution.
