Large Chinese porcelain lobed vase, Hai Tang Zun, with tall silhouette baluster shape body, gently tapered toward the foot, with rounded shoulder gracefully everted the prominent neck further to flared and banded rim, standing on a slightly concave splayed base. hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the iron-red color. The exterior decorated in very detailing of huge imperial dragon soaring amidst flames ruyi clouds, above trashing Lishui wavy water. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. Bordered with auspicious patterned bands on the collar neck . The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The under-base bears a reign mark, a horizontal six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
