Chinese Ming Wucai porcelain basin is sturdily potted in a deep vessel with broad octagonal flori-form lobed petal rim, gracefully raised from steep sides over wide broad cavetto. The central interior decorated by applying a variety of five-colored pigments creates bold opaque hand-painting, of dragon and phoenix striding oppositely in pursuit of centralized wish-granted flaming pearls amidst colorful flames and fumes.
