Ming Dynasty Chinese porcelain fish pond. Sturdy and thick potted porcelain deep vessels, steep sides elevating from round cavetto with wide broad base. The exterior, vividly decorated with hand-painting in Wucai design, the enamels are opaque and there is a wider repertoire of colors, by applying variety of five-colored pigments depicted Mandarin ducks swim amidst water foliate. Its shoulder bordered with dense of meandering scrolling floral motif. The foot bordered with geometrical Lishui wavy water motif ribbon. The underside left unglazed, with pale-creme base spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
