Intricate Celadon Qianlong (Qing dynasty) Huluping vase. Double gourd resemblance, bulbous lower section converging into a lemon-shape midsection and finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top. The bottom forms a substantial ring-base with a flat offset face. Delicately decorated around the exterior with conglomerations of Fu-bat flying through cumulus clouds. Fu can be translated to mean bat, prosperity, good fortune, and can even delineate happiness. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
