明代景德镇仿宋代哥窑瓷器始于宣德时期，此时，景德镇除烧制传统品种外，还创烧了许多新品种，仿哥窑瓷是其中之一。成化时期继承前制，并形成了自己的时代风尚。这件仿哥窑胆瓶为成化时期新创品种，其形制玲珑俊秀，装饰典雅精美，富有成化器的特色。釉面虽仿宋代哥釉，但其釉质肥润，平整光亮，光泽度较强，故无宋哥窑的“酥润含蓄”之美。口、足釉色及金丝铁线纹却较好的再现了宋哥窑口足及开片特征。
