An early Western Electric Model 102 desk set, F1 Bakelite handset produced for Bell Telephone. Original dialer label. The Model 202 desktop telephone was produced by Western Electric in the U.S. and Northern Electric in Canada starting around 1930. The desk-top set, containing only the dial and a cradle that secures the handset, combines the receiver and the transmitter elements in one unit, in the on-hook position.
