Comes with original key, which opens both working locking mechanisms, allowing for access to tag till. Includes laminated reproduction of c. 1901 trade catalog page from Theo. A. Kochs Co. of Chicago, Illinois with advertisement for the cash register at lower right. Includes 56 original tin tags, and 1 additional on display in cash register, coded in different colors and sales amounts, for use by individual barbers. Silverplate open decoration crest reads AMOUNT OF SALE MONITOR designed by Whiting Manufacturing designer Charles Osborne, who worked for Tiffany in the 1880s and whose designs are some of the most important of the American Aesthetic Movement. No date symbols, placing its manufacture date as c. pre-1905.
