题识：东垣一兄雅属，冠九如山。|钤印：臣如山章、冠九甫 |释文：友如作画须求淡，文似看山不喜平。|简介：如山，姓赫舍里氏，字冠九，号古稀男子，满洲镶蓝旗人。道光十八年进士，官浙江按察使，四川布政使。书法雅近六朝，山水得力王鉴。晚年深悟泼墨法，花卉竹石，亦古仆有致，尤善写生，设色淡冶。兼擅指头画，古奇苍莽。光绪十一年（一八八五）行书楹帖时年七十余。著写秋轩诗存。《寒松阁谈艺琐录》、《历代画史汇传附录》、《海上墨林》、《韬养斋笔记》、《益州书画录续编》
