Etchings John W. Winkler & Jack R. Miller (2): Two etchings, one street scene by Jack R Miller (Austria, 1890-1979) titled "Bienville St. Studio", and harbor scene presented to Kathryn Stosney from John W. Winkler (America, 1942-2014) titled "Flying Gulls." Both works are pencil signed. Miller's print is numbered 44/100. Dimensions are: Miller, overall - 11 5/8" wide x 15 5/8" high, Winkler, overall - 19" wide x 24 1/2" high. All measurements are approximate. Artists Biography: John W. Winkler (Austrian, 1890-1979) was a well-known etcher who worked in London and Paris. His pieces can be found in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Museum. Jack R. Miller (American, 1942-2014) was a printmaker active in New Orleans and an original artist of the Art Colony in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He also taught at the Eureka Springs School of the Art. Condition: Both etchings are free of tears, stains, and restoration. Both have overall toning due to age. Not examined out of frame.
