Rich Blue Paraiba Tourmaline from Brazil


Batalha Mine, Paraiba, Brazil This fine oval-cut tourmaline possesses a rich blue hue which is unheard of in an unenhanced stone. Neither aqua nor green, the stone is a straightforward blue without modifying colors. It is rare to find tourmalines from the type-locality which are larger than 1 carats size. Weighing approximately 2.05 carats and measuring 8.86 x 7/19 x 4.58mm
|Accompanied by an American Gemological Laboratories report numbered CS 82558 dated February 18, 2013 stating that the 2.05 carats tourmaline originates from Brazil and that it shows no gemological evidence of heat treatment.
