18th centuryThe circular disc crisply carved in high relief with a sinuous chilong grasping a lingzhi stem in its mouth, the underside delicately incised with spiral 'grain' pattern, the lustrous stone of a greenish-white tone. 5.7cm (2 1/3in) diam.
|十八世紀 青玉雕螭龍榖紋環形佩Provenance: A South-American private collection Marchant, London來源：南美私人舊藏倫敦Marchant青玉質，瑩潤透白，一面起地浮雕螭龍銜芝紋，螭首陰刻眉眼毛髮，背脊婉轉，四肢攀附有力。背面陰刻榖紋，紋樣取自兩漢玉器，饒有古意。《爾雅·釋器》曰：「肉好若一謂之環。」肉即玉的寬度，好則孔的直徑，此件拍品玉的寬度和孔徑相若，故當為環。背面榖紋及本品形制可參考2016年3月17日佳士得紐約售出一件西漢青玉環，拍品編號923。
