本品以紫檀镂雕花片攒接而成，呈六棱石榴形，灯身上嵌彩绘玻璃，上方彩绘有庭院人物图，或游玩、或聊天，精彩纷呈。雕工精美，整体呈石榴造型，拐子龙纹疏密有致，有多子多福之寓意。古代夜晚的照度十分有限，入清后，玻璃自西方国家海运至中国，但价格昂贵，只有宫廷或王宫贵胄才能使用。配原装玻璃
