Later 19th century full crushed green morocco; richly gilt spine compartments; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; dentelles gilt; maroon endpapers; by Bedford. Boards slightly discolored, joints lightly rubbed; some minor foxing to text. Ex-library with manuscript notation in pencil and call number in pencil to the verso of the front free endpaper as well as the title-page. First appearance of Charge of the Light Brigade.
