珊瑚红是一种低温铁红釉。因色如珊瑚而得名。制作时，以吹釉法施彩，然后进炉低温烘烤而成，珊瑚红始于康熙，盛于雍正、乾隆。此碗为典型乾隆官窑器。碗底青花六字篆书款：大清乾隆年制。
