A set of 4 Chinese calligraphies in ink on paper by Wang Fuan (1879-1960). Each is mounted on a silk backing. Dimensions are: 58 inches tall X 16 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The calligraphies show minor foxing. Provenance: From the estate of Mai Ruiling. Mai Ruiling was born in Hebei, China. He befriended many painters in the early 20th Century, assembling his collection primarily in Beijing and, after moving there in 1949, in Hong Kong.
