A Chinese rosewood table screen with a silk embroidery panel and dating from the 19th century. The screen frame and stand are inlaid with mother of pearl insets with a 4-character inscription and Fu, Lu, and Shou inlaid into the stand. The silk circular embroidery features 2 peacocks and other birds. Dimensions are: the screen measures 23 3/4 inches tall X 19 3/4 inches wide, while the screen and stand together measure 30 1/2 inches tall X 22 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are splits to the wood, small losses of the mother of pearl insets, and the stand has multiple loose elements and repairs.
