A Chinese zitan box dating from the 18th century. The box has a wood handle, brass ruyi fastenings, a bat-shaped lock on the front, and the interior has 6 drawers and a velvet lined tray. Dimensions are: 12 inches tall X 9 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is damage to the brass fastenings, cracks in the wood, and numerous repairs.
