A Chinese bronze tripod incense burner with a wooden lid dating from Ming Dynasty. The lid is carved with 8 lotus leaves and the incense burner has a 6-character mark on the bottom. There are 7 flaming pearls on each leg, 10 wave medallions in a band at the top, and 2 handles that curve upwards and are embellished by wave motifs. Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 11 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The finial on the lid is missing, and there are minor cracks and chips but the piece is in overall good condition. Provenance: From the collection of Mr. Skydell in Los Angeles, CA.
