Red Jasper and Onyx Vase by Nardi


Venice, Italy This fine vase of triangular outline was formed from three polished panels of bright red South African jasper which is no longer available in the market; with applied black onyx half-round borders at the edges. Mounted with silver and silver-gilt starfish of various sizes, they are accented with faceted rubies to provide added color. Total weight of the rubies approximately 31.79 carats. Height 11 3/4in (30.0 cm)
