Paris 1767 / 1768 Rectangular, the grey lacquer with gold scroll border, the lid with applied 'Souvenir' and 'D'amitié' inscriptions, one side of the body with a foiled glass plaque with applied putto at work scene, the other side with a similarly set monogram, containing a six-leaf ivory tablet and gold-mounted pencil , length 9.5cm.
|Marked with the 1767/1768 Paris mark, the charge mark of Jean-Jacques Prévost, the discharge mark of Julien Alaterre, an 'objets de hasard' mark, a double eagle head mark. The maker's mark is unclear.
