Potted with deep curved sides with everted rim, the interior decorated with a central medallion inscribed with calligraphy written in regular script in tribute to the poem " Red Cliff ", surrounded on the cavetto with a leafy composite floral scroll bearing  blooms, all within a border of crashing waves on the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with composite floral scroll, the unglazed base fired with subtle orange specks, 18.5 inch diameter.
