Sui Dynasty, Maitreya Buddha is shown seated on a cloth-draped stool, with legs pendent and the feet resting on a rectangular plinth, and wearing a jeweled necklace and long beaded chains that fall from the shoulders down the legs, the left hand resting on the left knee and holds part of the long scarf that is draped over the shoulders and across the dhoti. The figure's right arm and head are missing. Height 6 in.
