Mauritz Frederik Hendrick De Haas (New York / Holland, 1832 - 1895) Nautical Etching depicting sailing vessels throughout. Signed in plate lower left. Sight Size: 6.5 x 9.25 in. Overall Size: 13.5 x 16.25 in. Framed behind glass. De Haas was born in Rotterdam, Holland where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He also studied at The Hague, a pupil of Louis Meyer, and then specialized in watercolor in London.
