An early 19th Century French kingwood, crossbanded and gilt metal mounted side table:, of shaped serpentine outline with canted angles, the quarter veneered top with a central diamond-shaped panel and geometrically crossbanded surround, having a brass reeded edge, fitted with a shaped apron drawer, on cabriole legs, headed with flowerheads and foliate scrollwork, the top 74cm (2ft 5in) x 41.5cm (1ft 4 1/4in).
