A Victorian adolescent's yew and elm Windsor armchair, Nottinghamshire, circa 1840-60
The hooped back with two long tapered spindles either side of a burr-yew fir-tree pierced central splat, three further underarm spindles and baluster-turned arm support, the elm saddle-seat raised on double ring-turned legs terminating in ball feet and joined by a crinoline stretcher, 47.5cm wide, 43cm deep, 81cm high (18 1/2in wide, 16 1/2in deep, 31 1/2in high).
