Qing dynasty, the turquoise-ground vessel cast with a compressed globular form resting on a short splayed foot and flaring at the trumpet mouth, with a pair of gilt-bronze phoenix with arching bodies resting on the shoulder and forming the handle, body decorated with pink enameled lotus flowers borne on foliate scrolls with attendant buds, the bottom incised with four-character Qianlong mark.
