A Chinese Imperial famille rose porcelain vase with a 6-character Guangxu mark on the bottom framed with two 5-clawed dragons. The vase is from the Guangxu period. The neck is decorated with the 8 Buddhist emblems against a yellow ground with a ruyi border. The body of the vase has a border at the junction of the body and the neck of 2 dragons chasing flaming pearls and at the base with banana leaves. The body of the vase is decorated with 5 dragons chasing flaming pearls. Dimensions are: 15 1/2 inches tall X 8 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are a few glaze skips at the base, a number of firing defects, and areas of glaze defects and scratches. Provenance: From a Washington D.C. collection.
