Chinese jade lidded hanging vase dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The sides of the vase are carved with a pair of chilong and the vessel has two stylized animal handles. There is a Greek key border around the mouth and the handle of the lid. The vessel is suspended by two chains beneath a plaque carved with two phoenixes holding a disc in their beaks. Dimensions are: 8 1/2 inches tall X 4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a small chip in the rim of the lid.
