18th/19th centuryThe compressed globular bottle with a cylindrical neck, flat lip, rounded oval foot ring, carved through the cinnabar lacquer-red overlay to the opaque white ground with a Manchu banner-man on a galloping horse to the front, the reverse with a bold eight-character inscription followed with two seal cartouches 'shu' and 'zhai' (Bourgeois studio).1 7/8in (4.8cm) high
