Ye Family Studio, 1916The rounded rectangular bottle carved to one narrow side with a bamboo, and painted to both main sides with an episodic scene from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one featuring the story of Liu Bei visiting Zhu Geliang at his cottage, the reverse displaying Huang Chengyan riding a donkey followed by his attendant; signed Ye Zhongsan, dated bingchen (1916). 2 1/2in (6.4cm) high
