Large Malachite Free-form Bowl


Democratic Republic of Congo This is a very large and fine specimen of malachite of free-form outline, smooth polished on all of its surfaces, but still in its natural rough state on the underside. The lapidary has revealed the exceptional concentric banding visible on the sides and in the "well" at the center. Suitable for use as an ashtray or bowl, this is an impressively large specimen. Measuring 14 x 7 x 2 1/2 in
