Rare Color-change Pyrope-Spessartite Garnet


This fine oval cabochon of large size displays a notable color-change grey-green to purplish red. Having an interesting reverse side with a polished oval facet to the bottom of the cabochon and beveled edge. Weighing approximately 24.72 carats and measuring 19.75 x 14.80 x 9.06mm
|Accompanied by an Amberican Gemological Laboratories #1091258 dated April 6, 2018 stating that the natural pyrope-spessartite garnet of 24.72 carats is gray-green in daylight and purplish red in incandescent light and that the degree of color-change is strong, i.e. 70 to 80% and that it shows no gemological evidence of enhancements or treatments.
