Fluorite with Calcite--"The Elephant in the Room"


Quan Zhou City, Fujian Province, China A double-sided specimen consisting of large, cubic and dodecahedral crystals clustered together with an overgrowth of calcite. To one side a protrusion of purple fluorite crystals appears to resemble the trunk of an elephant. Specimens which are zoomorphic command great attention in mineral hobby.
