此壶选用优质紫泥制成，色若“猪肝”，形似龙蛋，又似瓮。广口压盖，上置蘑菇形提钮，鼓腹向下逐渐收敛，短制炮流，自壶身胥出。此类成型、装饰工艺，是早期茗壶常见制作手法。早期茗壶大多讲求，材质本身特点来展现壶之韵味，并未有太多装饰。此壶骨肉亭匀，壶嘴前引胥出，优雅含蓄，流、把线条完美流畅，神完气足。是早期茗壶的典范之作！
