《稗史汇编》有谓：“瓷有同是一质，遂成异质，同是一色，遂成异色者，水土所合，非人力之巧所能加，是之谓窑变。”整器呈石榴之型，饱满端庄，尊口花瓣状外撇，束颈丰肩，鼓腹渐收；通体窑变之釉色，胎质坚实细腻，釉色绚丽夺目，有红紫蓝白之彩，交融流淌，变幻万千，别富意趣，正有谓“窑变无双”，是为难得。器底中央阴线刻有“大清乾隆年制”六字三行篆书款。石榴自古即有多子多福之寓意，皇室对血脉之延续兴旺尤为注重，故而宫中陈设石榴尊寄托了皇帝对多添皇子、皇孙的期盼，可见拍品为清代乾隆年间之吉祥器也。
