A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE CHINESE AMBER ‘MOUNTAIN’ CARVING.Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.Deeply carved and pierced to depict a stepped pathway through overhanging jutting rocks, with two scholars standing in flowing robes whilst a young attendant crouches below them and a further figure stands further up the path holding a fly wisp, below a gnarled pine tree topped by a seated bird the trunk and branches wrapping over the mountainside to the reverse side of the carving where three further birds perch on its branches, supported on a wood stand carved and pierced to depict lingzhi fungus emerging from rockwork, 19cm H.清十八世紀 琥珀雕山形擺件
