|Nirmanakaya is one of the three forms of the Buddha, generally explained as the 'physical manifestation' of Buddha. In art, it is distinct from the Sambhogakaya, or 'body of divine enjoyment/form body' in that it represents the Buddha without adornments, where the Sambhogakaya body is characterised by the major signs and minor marks of a Buddha.
