18th centuryThe elegantly potted vessel rising from a rolled foot rim to a slim shoulder before tapering to a tall gently flaring mouth rim, all covered in a well controlled glaze graduating from a deep crimson to a variegated ox-blood hue and thinning at the mouth rim to a pale hue, gold-lacquer repair, kintsugi, to neck.43cm (17in) high
