是书被郑振铎先生赋予极高赞誉。郑先生有言“从万历三十四年顷，程大约墨苑初印者，曾以五色墨模印数十幅，其色彩绚丽美妙，前无古人。殆为彩色版画之先驱。后一年而风流绝畅图出，通帙皆施以彩墨，人物之肤色衣履乃至几饰窗帏，无不栩栩如生”刻工精细，保存较好。
