A finely cast and chased Chinese gilt lacquered bronze figure of Wenshu ming dynasty, 16th century Depicted seated in padmasana, the raised hands holding ends of lotus tendrils, a chakra and book at the shoulders, a kundika on her head behind the elaborate crown, the borders of the robe incised with lotus scrolls, retaining significant amounts of gilt lacquer and pigmented surface.
