|陈东湖，浙江山阴人，早年拜杨冠如为师，后为金北楼入室弟子。1921年加入中国画学研究会，1926年参预创办湖社，任湖社评议，主教花鸟画。1930年作品入选比利时国际博览会获金牌奖。1936年，作品六渡东洋，三赴欧美，并在北京、上海、天津六次举办个人画展。此间，又创办东湖画馆招徒授艺。擅长中国画，尤长“没骨”花卉。作品有《菊石图》、《荷花图》等。
