说明：大黑天是印度梵语“玛哈嘎拉”的意译，又译为“救怙主”，藏语称“贡保”。据记载，大黑天一共有75种不同种类，但常见的主要有二臂大黑天、四臂大黑天和六臂大黑天。此幅唐卡表现的即为六臂大黑天。主尊全身黑蓝色，头戴五骷髅冠，三目怒视，项挂五十人骷髅长链，腰围虎皮裙。六手皆持有法器，中间两手置于胸前，左手托骷髅碗，右手持钺刀，其余四手分置身体两侧：上面一双右手执人骷髅念珠，左手执三叉戟，两手同时张开一张象皮披在身后；下面一双右手持手鼓，左手持索。站立姿势，右腿曲，左腿伸，两足分别踩在象头天神的胸和腿上。身后有火焰形大背光，象征智慧和威力无比。
