说明：砚体方形，砚面及四侧面浅浮雕兰亭修禊图，描绘东晋永和九年（353年）王羲之同谢安等四十一人在会稽山兰亭行“修禊”之礼时的场景，王羲之的著名法帖《兰亭序》便记述了这次盛会的情形。砚面雕刻兰亭景色，以曲水作墨池，池水间以小桥相连，下方宽阔平坦处为砚堂，侧壁环刻修禊图。砚背覆手深洼，浮雕浴鹅图，群鹅嬉戏于水中、案上。此件形制古朴稚拙，石质细腻，黄中透绿，石质优良，通体运用了线刻、浅浮雕、高浮雕等多种技法，雕刻精湛，不视为洮河砚的佳作。洮河石，产于甘肃省定西地区临洮县、岷县等地洮河畔。该石石质较优良，有赤红、墨绿、酞蓝、淡青、鹅黄等色，线条粗犷，为四大名砚之一。
