款识：“大明宣德年制”六字三行楷书款 来源：德国重要藏家旧藏说明：炉作蚰耳簋式，口沿平侈，收颈鼓腹，圈足微外撇，有侈弦一周，双耳出颈曲折下收于腹部，浑厚有力，粗细富于变化，转角圆润，耳洞几近浑圆。炉身线条流畅柔美，分量沉重坠手，叩之金声玉振。器造型凝重典雅，铜质密实细腻，色正而莹洁，奇光内出，宝气温润，抚之绵滑。圈足内开框錾刻“大明宣德年制”六字楷书款，工丽整饬，秀朗俊健。据记载，蚰耳炉器形仿自宋代定窑器，耳为龙身，曲弯如蚰蜒，故称。此炉具潜龙之象，含韬晦之志，正如《易·系辞》云：“尺蠖之屈，以求信也；龙蛇之蛰，以存身也。”此炉形制、皮色洵美，铜精工巧，其色熠熠，蕴光其里，备极精妙。款字结体苍秀，深得金石韵味。
